Important: Ailani is an educational tool designed to help people develop emotional intelligence skills. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support, therapy, or crisis intervention. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or a crisis line immediately.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ailani ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Description of Service
Ailani is an AI-powered educational application that provides guidance on emotional intelligence, communication, and interpersonal skills. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggested responses and explanations for various emotional and interpersonal situations. These responses are educational in nature and are intended to help users develop communication skills over time.
Not a Substitute for Professional Help
The Service is strictly educational and is not intended to:
- Provide mental health diagnosis, treatment, or therapy
- Replace the advice of licensed therapists, counselors, or psychologists
- Be used in situations involving imminent risk of harm to yourself or others
- Substitute for professional crisis intervention services
If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please call or text a crisis line in your region or contact a licensed mental health professional.
User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes only
- Not submit content that is abusive, threatening, or illegal
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
- Not misrepresent the AI-generated responses as coming from a licensed professional
- Take full responsibility for how you apply information from the Service in real situations
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and underlying technology of Ailani are the exclusive property of Ailani and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission. AI-generated responses provided to you during a session are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular situation. Use of the Service and reliance on any responses is entirely at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ailani and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated coaching responses. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, or $10 CAD, whichever is greater.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
